which class should i apply to?
At Sapling, our experience tells us that children see success in school when they are the right age for the right class. As such, we have put together a recommended age criterion which is in line with the Right to Education Act.
Recommended age criteria:
Playgroup: 2 years + (Born between June 1st 2022 and June 30th 2023)
Nursery: 3 years + (Born between June 1st2021 and June 1st 2022)
LKG: 4 years + (Born between June 1st 2020 and June 1st 2021)
UKG: 5 years + (Born between June 1st 2019 and June 1st 2020)
Important Note:
This being said, the State Government currently allows children who turn 6 years old on December 31st, to attend grade 1 in June of the same year (thus effectively making the age for grade 1 as 5 years and 6 months as of June. Due to this, we will also accept children who do not meet the "Recommended Age Criterion" mentioned above as long as they meet the Government age criterion.
Current 1st Std Age Criteria in the State of Maharashtra
For children entering Grade 1 in June 2025, they should complete 6 years by December 31st 2025.
What is the selection criteria?
At Sapling we encourage applications from all children and we do not "select" children. Admissions are granted purely on a first-come-first-served basis.
Parents of children who have any specific needs must take an appointment to meet with us to ensure that we are able to meet those specific needs in the best interests of the child.
What is the admission process?
We have a 3-stage admission process, outlined below:
Step 1: Visit us and get to know us better
Although optional, it is always good to visit our centre and get to know us better. Appointments can be taken by sending a WhatsApp message to 9607996792 (Baner) and 9607996793 (Model Colony)
Step 2: Apply online
Application forms will open on our website at 1 pm on the 7th of October.
Admissions are confirmed immediately (subject to vacancies). Please note that parents have 2 days to complete the fee payment after receiving a confirmation of admission, post which the application is cancelled. As such, in case you would like to visit us, please schedule a visit before applying.
Step 3: Submit the parent undertaking and make the fee payment.
On submitting your application, you will have 24 hours to submit the parent undertaking.
Post submission of the parent undertaking you will have 24 hours to confirm the admission by payment of the fees.
Applications are automatically cancelled if the admission is not confirmed within the timelines specified. New applications will be considered in the order in which they are received.
What is the Fee amount and what is the mode of payment?

We work with the Razorpay Payment Gateway for accepting payments and hence fees may be paid by a number of different modes. (UPI is the only free mode of payment)
Does sapling provide transport and daycare?
Sapling does run a school bus service along a fixed bus route. If bus transport is a necessity for you, please mail us on amar@saplingnursery.com before applying.
